Snapfish Photo Prints Review

Snapfish run their digital photo processing business on an international basis and are owned by Hewlett Packard. This should ensure the technology behind the site is up to scratch, and that they are able to compete on price with those already in the market.

WHEN YOU FIRST LOG ON

Its incredibly easy to navigate the simple Snapfish site. There are only a couple of navigation options available, and it's really easy to identify the site sections you want. Registration takes about 30 seconds, and all they require is your name, e-mail address, and a password.

UPLOADING YOUR PICTURES

Each new set of photos you upload to Snapfish is automatically stored in a new album. If you look carefully, there's a small link below that option which allows you to upload to an existing album if you wish. Snapfishes QuickUpload tool is easy to use. All you have to do is click on the "select photos" button and the interface automatically pulls up the "My Pictures" folder from your PC. There are two upload options. one speeds upload time by up to 500%, the other is for those wishing to print large posters and gifts. If you are unable to use the multiple upload for any reason there is a small link on the right hand side of the page which directs you to the html based option. Unfortunately, this only allows you to upload one image at a time, which isn't much good if you've just come back from your fornight in Marbella with 400 pictures you're just dying to get into the family album! The progress bar on each image was a good feature as it let us know how quickly various image sizes were likely to take to upload on our internet connection.

STORAGE CAPACITY & ONLINE ALBUMS

Snapfish offers unlimited albums and storage to all customers. All you have to do to gain access to this facility is register for the site and get down to the serious business of getting all your pictures uploaded. As with other photo gallery facilities offered by their competitors, Snapfish offer the ability to share your photos with all your friends. A great feature was that Snapfish calculate how much each album will cost to process and display the information in the top left hand corner of each one.

ORDER PROCESS

To order prints, you can either select an album en-masse, or select individual prints to add to your photo shopping basket. Once added, its simple to select from the many finishes and border options made available.

DELIVERY & PRINT QUALITY

Our order was delivered within 48 hours. We actually sent some holiday snaps to our reviewers grandmother's address to test out Snapfishs "different delivery address" performance. All went well, and the quality was excellent as was the protective packaging to keep the photos in pristine condition.
